KJV Psalm 31:1 In thee, O LORD <03068>, do I put my trust <02620> (08804); let me never <0408> <05769> be ashamed <0954> (08799): deliver <06403> (08761) me in thy righteousness <06666>.

3 For thou art my rock <05553> and my fortress <04686>; therefore for thy name's <08034> sake lead <05148> (08686) me, and guide <05095> (08762) me.

15 My times <06256> are in thy hand <03027>:...

deliver <05337> (08685) me from the hand <03027> of mine enemies <0341> (08802), and from them that persecute <07291> (08802) me.

18 Let the lying <08267> lips <08193> be put to silence <0481> (08735); which speak <01696> (08802) grievous <06277> things proudly <01346> and contemptuously <0937> against the righteous <06662>. 19 Oh how great <07227> is thy goodness <02898>, which thou hast laid up <06845> (08804) for them that fear <03373> thee; which thou hast wrought <06466> (08804) for them that trust <02620> (08802) in thee before the sons <01121> of men <0120>! 20 Thou shalt hide <05641> (08686) them in the secret <05643> of thy presence <06440> from the pride <07407> of man <0376>: thou shalt keep them secretly <06845> (08799) in a pavilion <05521> from the strife <07379> of tongues <03956>. 21 Blessed <01288> (08803) be the LORD <03068>: for he hath shewed me his marvellous <06381> (08689) kindness <02617> in a strong <04692> city <05892>.

24 Be of good courage <02388> (08798), and he shall strengthen <0553> (08686) your heart <03824>, all ye that hope <03176> (08764) in the LORD <03068>.

NRS Psalm 31:1 In you, O LORD, I seek refuge; do not let me ever be put to shame; in your righteousness deliver me.

3 You are indeed my rock and my fortress; for your name's sake lead me and guide me,

15 My times are in your hand;

18 Let the lying lips be stilled that speak insolently against the righteous with pride and contempt. 19 O how abundant is your goodness that you have laid up for those who fear you, and accomplished for those who take refuge in you, in the sight of everyone! 20 In the shelter of your presence you hide them from human plots; you hold them safe under your shelter from contentious tongues. 21 Blessed be the LORD, for he has wondrously shown his steadfast love to me when I was beset as a city under siege.

24 Be strong, and let your heart take courage, all you who wait for the LORD.

NLT Psalm 31:1 O LORD, I have come to you for protection; don't let me be put to shame. Rescue me, for you always do what is right.

3 You are my rock and my fortress. For the honor of your name, lead me out of this peril.

15 My future is in your hands.

18 May their lying lips be silenced-- those proud and arrogant lips that accuse the godly. 19 Your goodness is so great! You have stored up great blessings for those who honor you. You have done so much for those who come to you for protection, blessing them before the watching world. 20 You hide them in the shelter of your presence, safe from those who conspire against them. You shelter them in your presence, far from accusing tongues. 21 Praise the LORD, for he has shown me his unfailing love. He kept me safe when my city was under attack.

24 So be strong and take courage, all you who put your hope in the LORD!

15 En tu mano están mis años;

KJV 1 John 4:1 Beloved <27>, believe <4100> (5720) not <3361> every <3956> spirit <4151>, but <235> try <1381> (5720) the spirits <4151> whether <1487> they are <2076> (5748) of <1537> God <2316>: because <3754> many <4183> false prophets <5578> are gone out <1831> (5758) into <1519> the world <2889>.

4 Ye <5210> are <2075> (5748) of <1537> God <2316>, little children <5040>, and <2532> have overcome <3528> (5758) them <846>: because <3754> greater <3187> is he that is <2076> (5748) in <1722> you <5213>, than <2228> he that is in <1722> the world <2889>. 5 They <846> are <1526> (5748) of <1537> the world <2889>: therefore <1223> <5124> speak they <2980> (5719) of <1537> the world <2889>, and <2532> the world <2889> heareth <191> (5719) them <846>. 6 We <2249> are <2070> (5748) of <1537> God <2316>: he that knoweth <1097> (5723) God <2316> heareth <191> (5719) us <2257>; he that <3739> is <2076> (5748) not <3756> of <1537> God <2316> heareth <191> (5719) not <3756> us <2257>. Hereby <1537> <5127> know we <1097> (5719) the spirit <4151> of truth <225>, and <2532> the spirit <4151> of error <4106>.

12 No man <3762> hath seen <2300> (5766) God <2316> at any time <4455>. If <1437> we love <25> (5725) one another <240>, God <2316> dwelleth <3306> (5719) in <1722> us <2254>, and <2532> his <846> love <26> is <2076> (5748) perfected <5048> (5772) in <1722> us <2254>. 13 Hereby <1722> <5129> know we <1097> (5719) that <3754> we dwell <3306> (5719) in <1722> him <846>, and <2532> he <846> in <1722> us <2254>, because <3754> he hath given <1325> (5758) us <2254> of <1537> his <846> Spirit <4151>.

NRS 1 John 4:1 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God; for many false prophets have gone out into the world.

4 Little children, you are from God, and have conquered them; for the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. 5 They are from the world; therefore what they say is from the world, and the world listens to them. 6 We are from God. Whoever knows God listens to us, and whoever is not from God does not listen to us. From this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

12 No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God lives in us, and his love is perfected in us. 13 By this we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he has given us of his Spirit.

NLT 1 John 4:1 Dear friends, do not believe everyone who claims to speak by the Spirit. You must test them to see if the spirit they have comes from God. For there are many false prophets in the world.

4 But you belong to God, my dear children. You have already won your fight with these false prophets, because the Spirit who lives in you is greater than the spirit who lives in the world. 5 These people belong to this world, so they speak from the world's viewpoint, and the world listens to them. 6 But we belong to God; that is why those who know God listen to us. If they do not belong to God, they do not listen to us. That is how we know if someone has the Spirit of truth or the spirit of deception.

12 No one has ever seen God. But if we love each other, God lives in us, and his love has been brought to full expression through us. 13 And God has given us his Spirit as proof that we live in him and he in us.

KJV Nehemiah 2:1 And it came to pass in the month <02320> Nisan <05212>, in the twentieth <06242> year <08141> of Artaxerxes <0783> the king <04428>, that wine <03196> was before <06440> him: and I took up <05375> (08799) the wine <03196>, and gave <05414> (08799) it unto the king <04428>. Now I had not been beforetime sad <07451> in his presence <06440>.

4 Then the king <04428> said <0559> (08799) unto me, For what dost thou make request <01245> (08764)? So I prayed <06419> (08691) to the God <0430> of heaven <08064>. 5 And I said <0559> (08799) unto the king <04428>, If it please <02895> (08804) the king <04428>, and if thy servant <05650> have found favour <03190> (08799) in thy sight <06440>, that thou wouldest send <07971> (08799) me unto Judah <03063>, unto the city <05892> of my fathers' <01> sepulchres <06913>, that I may build <01129> (08799) it.

10 When Sanballat <05571> the Horonite <02772>, and Tobiah <02900> the servant <05650>, the Ammonite <05984>, heard <08085> (08799) of it, it grieved <03415> (08799) them exceedingly <07451> <01419> that there was come <0935> (08804) a man <0120> to seek <01245> (08763) the welfare <02896> of the children <01121> of Israel <03478>. 11 So I came <0935> (08799) to Jerusalem <03389>, and was there three <07969> days <03117>.

16 And the rulers <05461> knew <03045> (08804) not whither I went <01980> (08804), or what I did <06213> (08802); neither had I as yet <03651> told <05046> (08689) it to the Jews <03064>, nor to the priests <03548>, nor to the nobles <02715>, nor to the rulers <05461>, nor to the rest <03499> that did <06213> (08802) the work <04399>.

18 Then I told <05046> (08686) them of the hand <03027> of my God <0430> which was good <02896> upon me; as also the king's <04428> words <01697> that he had spoken <0559> (08804) unto me. And they said <0559> (08799), Let us rise up <06965> (08799) and build <01129> (08804). So they strengthened <02388> (08762) their hands <03027> for this good <02896> work. 19 But when Sanballat <05571> the Horonite <02772>, and Tobiah <02900> the servant <05650>, the Ammonite <05984>, and Geshem <01654> the Arabian <06163>, heard <08085> (08799) it, they laughed us to scorn <03932> (08686), and despised <0959> (08799) us, and said <0559> (08799), What is this thing <01697> that ye do <06213> (08802)? will ye rebel <04775> (08802) against the king <04428>? 20 Then answered <07725> (08686) <01697> I them, and said <0559> (08799) unto them, The God <0430> of heaven <08064>, he will prosper <06743> (08686) us; therefore we his servants <05650> will arise <06965> (08799) and build <01129> (08804): but ye have no portion <02506>, nor right <06666>, nor memorial <02146>, in Jerusalem <03389>.

NRS Nehemiah 2:1 In the month of Nisan, in the twentieth year of King Artaxerxes, when wine was served him, I carried the wine and gave it to the king. Now, I had never been sad in his presence before.

4 Then the king said to me, "What do you request?" So I prayed to the God of heaven. 5 Then I said to the king, "If it pleases the king, and if your servant has found favor with you, I ask that you send me to Judah, to the city of my ancestors' graves, so that I may rebuild it."

10 When Sanballat the Horonite and Tobiah the Ammonite official heard this, it displeased them greatly that someone had come to seek the welfare of the people of Israel. 11 So I came to Jerusalem and was there for three days.

16 The officials did not know where I had gone or what I was doing; I had not yet told the Jews, the priests, the nobles, the officials, and the rest that were to do the work.

18 I told them that the hand of my God had been gracious upon me, and also the words that the king had spoken to me. Then they said, "Let us start building!" So they committed themselves to the common good. 19 But when Sanballat the Horonite and Tobiah the Ammonite official, and Geshem the Arab heard of it, they mocked and ridiculed us, saying, "What is this that you are doing? Are you rebelling against the king?" 20 Then I replied to them, "The God of heaven is the one who will give us success, and we his servants are going to start building; but you have no share or claim or historic right in Jerusalem."

NLT Nehemiah 2:1 Early the following spring, during the twentieth year of King Artaxerxes' reign, I was serving the king his wine. I had never appeared sad in his presence before this time.

4 The king asked, "Well, how can I help you?"With a prayer to the God of heaven, 5 I replied, "If it please Your Majesty and if you are pleased with me, your servant, send me to Judah to rebuild the city where my ancestors are buried."

10 But when Sanballat the Horonite and Tobiah the Ammonite official heard of my arrival, they were very angry that someone had come who was interested in helping Israel. 11 Three days after my arrival at Jerusalem,

16 The city officials did not know I had been out there or what I was doing, for I had not yet said anything to anyone about my plans. I had not yet spoken to the religious and political leaders, the officials, or anyone else in the administration.

18 Then I told them about how the gracious hand of God had been on me, and about my conversation with the king. They replied at once, "Good! Let's rebuild the wall!" So they began the good work. 19 But when Sanballat, Tobiah, and Geshem the Arab heard of our plan, they scoffed contemptuously. "What are you doing, rebelling against the king like this?" they asked. 20 But I replied, "The God of heaven will help us succeed. We his servants will start rebuilding this wall. But you have no stake or claim in Jerusalem."

KJV Nehemiah 4:7 But it came to pass, that when Sanballat <05571>, and Tobiah <02900>, and the Arabians <06163>, and the Ammonites <05984>, and the Ashdodites <0796>, heard <08085> (08804) that the walls <02346> of Jerusalem <03389> were made up <0724> <05927> (08804), and that the breaches <06555> (08803) began <02490> (08689) to be stopped <05640> (08736), then they were very <03966> wroth <02734> (08799), 8 And conspired <07194> (08799) all of them together <03162> to come <0935> (08800) and to fight <03898> (08736) against Jerusalem <03389>, and to hinder <06213> (08800) <08442> it. 9 Nevertheless we made our prayer <06419> (08691) unto our God <0430>, and set <05975> (08686) a watch <04929> against them day <03119> and night <03915>, because <06440> of them.

11 And our adversaries <06862> said <0559> (08799), They shall not know <03045> (08799), neither see <07200> (08799), till we come <0935> (08799) in the midst <08432> among <08432> them, and slay <02026> (08804) them, and cause the work <04399> to cease <07673> (08689). 12 And it came to pass, that when the Jews <03064> which dwelt <03427> (08802) by them <0681> came <0935> (08804), they said <0559> (08799) unto us ten <06235> times <06471>, From all places <04725> whence ye shall return <07725> (08799) unto us they will be upon you. 13 Therefore set <05975> (08686) I in the lower <08482> places <04725> behind <0310> the wall <02346>, and on the higher places <06706> (08675) <06708>, I even set <05975> (08686) the people <05971> after their families <04940> with their swords <02719>, their spears <07420>, and their bows <07198>. 14 And I looked <07200> (08799), and rose up <06965> (08799), and said <0559> (08799) unto the nobles <02715>, and to the rulers <05461>, and to the rest <03499> of the people <05971>, Be not ye afraid <03372> (08799) of them <06440>:...

15 And it came to pass, when our enemies <0341> (08802) heard <08085> (08804) that it was known <03045> (08738) unto us, and God <0430> had brought <06565> <00> their counsel <06098> to nought <06565> (08686), that we returned <07725> (08799) all of us to the wall <02346>, every one <0376> unto his work <04399>.

. 17 They which builded <01129> (08802) on the wall <02346>, and they that bare <05375> (08802) burdens <05447>, with those that laded <06006> (08802), every one with one <0259> of his hands <03027> wrought <06213> (08802) in the work <04399>, and with the other <0259> hand held <02388> (08688) a weapon <07973>.

NRS Nehemiah 4:7 But when Sanballat and Tobiah and the Arabs and the Ammonites and the Ashdodites heard that the repairing of the walls of Jerusalem was going forward and the gaps were beginning to be closed, they were very angry, 8 and all plotted together to come and fight against Jerusalem and to cause confusion in it. 9 So we prayed to our God, and set a guard as a protection against them day and night.

11 And our enemies said, "They will not know or see anything before we come upon them and kill them and stop the work." 12 When the Jews who lived near them came, they said to us ten times, "From all the places where they live they will come up against us." 13 So in the lowest parts of the space behind the wall, in open places, I stationed the people according to their families, with their swords, their spears, and their bows. 14 After I looked these things over, I stood up and said to the nobles and the officials and the rest of the people, "Do not be afraid of them...

15 When our enemies heard that their plot was known to us, and that God had frustrated it, we all returned to the wall, each to his work.

17 who were building the wall. The burden bearers carried their loads in such a way that each labored on the work with one hand and with the other held a weapon.

NLT Nehemiah 4:7 But when Sanballat and Tobiah and the Arabs, Ammonites, and Ashdodites heard that the work was going ahead and that the gaps in the wall were being repaired, they became furious. 8 They all made plans to come and fight against Jerusalem and to bring about confusion there. 9 But we prayed to our God and guarded the city day and night to protect ourselves.

11 Meanwhile, our enemies were saying, "Before they know what's happening, we will swoop down on them and kill them and end their work." 12 The Jews who lived near the enemy came and told us again and again, "They will come from all directions and attack us!" 13 So I placed armed guards behind the lowest parts of the wall in the exposed areas. I stationed the people to stand guard by families, armed with swords, spears, and bows. 14 Then as I looked over the situation, I called together the leaders and the people and said to them, "Don't be afraid of the enemy!...

15 When our enemies heard that we knew of their plans and that God had frustrated them, we all returned to our work on the wall.

17 who were building the wall. The common laborers carried on their work with one hand supporting their load and one hand holding a weapon.

KJV Nehemiah 6:1 Now it came to pass, when Sanballat <05571>, and Tobiah <02900>, and Geshem <01654> the Arabian <06163>, and the rest <03499> of our enemies <0341> (08802), heard <08085> (08738) that I had builded <01129> (08804) the wall <02346>, and that there was no breach <06556> left <03498> (08738) therein; (though <01571> <05704> at that time <06256> I had not set up <05975> (08689) the doors <01817> upon the gates <08179>;) 2 That Sanballat <05571> and Geshem <01654> sent <07971> (08799) unto me, saying <0559> (08800), Come <03212> (08798), let us meet <03259> (08735) together <03162> in some one of the villages <03715> in the plain <01237> of Ono <0207>. But they thought <02803> (08802) to do <06213> (08800) me mischief <07451>. 3 And I sent <07971> (08799) messengers <04397> unto them, saying <0559> (08800), I am doing <06213> (08802) a great <01419> work <04399>, so that I cannot <03201> (08799) come down <03381> (08800): why should the work <04399> cease <07673> (08799), whilst <0834> I leave <07503> (08686) it, and come down <03381> (08804) to you? 4 Yet they sent <07971> (08799) unto me four <0702> times <06471> after this sort <01697>; and I answered <07725> (08686) them after the same manner <01697>. 5 Then sent <07971> (08799) Sanballat <05571> his servant <05288> unto me in like manner <01697> the fifth <02549> time <06471> with an open <06605> (08803) letter <0107> in his hand <03027>; 6 Wherein was written <03789> (08803), It is reported <08085> (08738) among the heathen <01471>, and Gashmu <01654> saith <0559> (08802) it, that thou and the Jews <03064> think <02803> (08802) to rebel <04775> (08800): for which cause <03651> thou buildest <01129> (08802) the wall <02346>, that thou mayest be <01933> (08802) their king <04428>, according to these words <01697>.

8 Then I sent <07971> (08799) unto him, saying <0559> (08800), There are <01961> <00> no such things <01697> done <01961> (08738) as thou sayest <0559> (08802), but thou feignest <0908> (08802) them out of thine own heart <03820>. 9 For they all made us afraid <03372> (08764), saying <0559> (08800), Their hands <03027> shall be weakened <07503> (08799) from the work <04399>, that it be not done <06213> (08735). Now therefore, O God, strengthen <02388> (08761) my hands <03027>.

15 So the wall <02346> was finished <07999> (08799) in the twenty <06242> and fifth <02568> day of the month Elul <0435>, in fifty <02572> and two <08147> days <03117>. 16 And it came to pass, that when all our enemies <0341> (08802) heard <08085> (08804) thereof, and all the heathen <01471> that were about us <05439> saw <07200> (08799) these things, they were much <03966> cast down <05307> (08799) in their own eyes <05869>: for they perceived <03045> (08799) that this work <04399> was wrought <06213> (08738) of our God <0430>.

NRS Nehemiah 6:1 Now when it was reported to Sanballat and Tobiah and to Geshem the Arab and to the rest of our enemies that I had built the wall and that there was no gap left in it (though up to that time I had not set up the doors in the gates), 2 Sanballat and Geshem sent to me, saying, "Come and let us meet together in one of the villages in the plain of Ono." But they intended to do me harm. 3 So I sent messengers to them, saying, "I am doing a great work and I cannot come down. Why should the work stop while I leave it to come down to you?" 4 They sent to me four times in this way, and I answered them in the same manner. 5 In the same way Sanballat for the fifth time sent his servant to me with an open letter in his hand. 6 In it was written, "It is reported among the nations-- and Geshem also says it-- that you and the Jews intend to rebel; that is why you are building the wall; and according to this report you wish to become their king.

8 Then I sent to him, saying, "No such things as you say have been done; you are inventing them out of your own mind" 9 -- for they all wanted to frighten us, thinking, "Their hands will drop from the work, and it will not be done." But now, O God, strengthen my hands.

15 So the wall was finished on the twenty-fifth day of the month Elul, in fifty-two days. 16 And when all our enemies heard of it, all the nations around us were afraid and fell greatly in their own esteem; for they perceived that this work had been accomplished with the help of our God.

NLT Nehemiah 6:1 When Sanballat, Tobiah, Geshem the Arab, and the rest of our enemies found out that I had finished rebuilding the wall and that no gaps remained-- though we had not yet hung the doors in the gates-- 2 Sanballat and Geshem sent me a message asking me to meet them at one of the villages in the plain of Ono. But I realized they were plotting to harm me, 3 so I replied by sending this message to them: "I am doing a great work! I cannot stop to come and meet with you." 4 Four times they sent the same message, and each time I gave the same reply. 5 The fifth time, Sanballat's servant came with an open letter in his hand, 6 and this is what it said: "Geshem tells me that everywhere he goes he hears that you and the Jews are planning to rebel and that is why you are building the wall. According to his reports, you plan to be their king.

8 My reply was, "You know you are lying. There is no truth in any part of your story." 9 They were just trying to intimidate us, imagining that they could break our resolve and stop the work. So I prayed for strength to continue the work.

15 So on October 2 the wall was finally finished-- just fifty-two days after we had begun. 16 When our enemies and the surrounding nations heard about it, they were frightened and humiliated. They realized that this work had been done with the help of our God.

And <1161> he arose <450> (5631) and stood forth <2476> (5627). 9 Then <3767> said <2036> (5627) Jesus <2424> unto <4314> them <846>, I will ask <1905> (5692) you <5209> one thing <5101>; Is it lawful <1832> (5748) on the sabbath days <4521> to do good <15> (5658), or <2228> to do evil <2554> (5658)? to save <4982> (5658) life <5590>, or <2228> to destroy <622> (5658) it? 10 And <2532> looking round about upon <4017> (5671) them <846> all <3956>, he said <2036> (5627) unto the man <444>, Stretch forth <1614> (5657) thy <4675> hand <5495>. And <1161> he did <4160> (5656) so <3779>: and <2532> his <846> hand <5495> was restored <600> (5681) whole <5199> as <5613> the other <243>. 11 And <1161> they <846> were filled <4130> (5681) with madness <454>; and <2532> communed <1255> (5707) one with another <4314> <240> what <5101> <302> they might do <4160> (5659) to Jesus <2424>. 12 And <1161> it came to pass <1096> (5633) in <1722> those <5025> days <2250>, that he went out <1831> (5627) into <1519> a mountain <3735> to pray <4336> (5664), and <2532> continued all night <1273> (5723) <2258> (5713) in <1722> prayer <4335> to God <2316>.

NRS Luke 6:6 On another sabbath he entered the synagogue and taught, and there was a man there whose right hand was withered. 7 The scribes and the Pharisees watched him to see whether he would cure on the sabbath, so that they might find an accusation against him. 8 Even though he knew what they were thinking, he said to the man who had the withered hand, "Come and stand here." He got up and stood there. 9 Then Jesus said to them, "I ask you, is it lawful to do good or to do harm on the sabbath, to save life or to destroy it?" 10 After looking around at all of them, he said to him, "Stretch out your hand." He did so, and his hand was restored. 11 But they were filled with fury and discussed with one another what they might do to Jesus. 12 Now during those days he went out to the mountain to pray; and he spent the night in prayer to God.

NLT Luke 6:6 On another Sabbath day, a man with a deformed right hand was in the synagogue while Jesus was teaching. 7 The teachers of religious law and the Pharisees watched closely to see whether Jesus would heal the man on the Sabbath, because they were eager to find some legal charge to bring against him. 8 But Jesus knew their thoughts. He said to the man with the deformed hand, "Come and stand here where everyone can see." So the man came forward. 9 Then Jesus said to his critics, "I have a question for you. Is it legal to do good deeds on the Sabbath, or is it a day for doing harm? Is this a day to save life or to destroy it?" 10 He looked around at them one by one and then said to the man, "Reach out your hand." The man reached out his hand, and it became normal again! 11 At this, the enemies of Jesus were wild with rage and began to discuss what to do with him. 12 One day soon afterward Jesus went to a mountain to pray, and he prayed to God all night.

13 But <1161> all things <3956> that are reproved <1651> (5746) are made manifest <5319> (5743) by <5259> the light <5457>: for <1063> whatsoever <3956> doth make manifest <5319> (5746) is <2076> (5748) light <5457>.

17 Wherefore <1223> <5124> be ye <1096> (5737) not <3361> unwise <878>, but <235> understanding <4920> (5723) what <5101> the will <2307> of the Lord <2962> is.

NRS Ephesians 5:8 For once you were darkness, but now in the Lord you are light. Live as children of light-- 9 for the fruit of the light is found in all that is good and right and true.

11 Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them.

13 but everything exposed by the light becomes visible,

17 So do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

NLT Ephesians 5:8 For though your hearts were once full of darkness, now you are full of light from the Lord, and your behavior should show it! 9 For this light within you produces only what is good and right and true.

11 Take no part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead, rebuke and expose them.

13 But when the light shines on them, it becomes clear how evil these things are.

17 Don't act thoughtlessly, but try to understand what the Lord wants you to do.

11 Y no participéis en las obras estériles de las tinieblas, sino más bien, desenmascaradlas;
